The chassis that is up for sale bears the number 00006/54, the very one with which Fangio won the German and Swiss Grand Prix events that went towards the 1954 F1 Championship. This legendary car that led the Argentinean to a second world title that year was innovative particularly due to its gasoline direct injection and its completely independent suspension.
Other cars that will be up for sale on July 12 include a 1965 Ferrari 330GT that belonged to John Lennon and a 1952 Bentley Type R Continental Sports Saloon.
