Haruki Murakami's upcoming novel is set for a Japanese debut from April 12, and its title will be "Tsukuru Tazaki, who does not have colors, and his year of pilgrimage," according to a translation provided by The Asahi Shimbun.
Previous novel "1Q84" followed a pattern familiar to
readers of Murakami's work; published in Japan in 2009, another two and a half years elapsed before an English-language translation emerged.
Murakami, author of "Norwegian Wood" and "Kafka on the Shore" has been the recipient of several prestigious literary awards, including the Franz Kafka Prize and Jerusalem Prize, and oft mooted as a likely winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, but never a winner (yet).
