A woman decorates the entrance of her home with diyas. Diwali marks the victory of good over evil and commemorates the time when Lord Rama achieved victory over Ravana and returned to Ayodhya.
And for others, it's "the day the tummy had too much"! (Always). Then there's the shopping
and the gifts. There is the puja, the hazaar ke crackers, the stacks of dry fruit boxes and sweets (and of late, also the chocolates!). These are the Diwali clichés that never become boring. And we always look forward to them.
