These two breeds of Indians love their cities. They also love to hate the other, which is why they get annoyed easily. Here's what it takes to set them off

Hailing an auto
Bhaiya, 100 rupiye kis baat ke? 'Meter se chalo!' (The Mumbaikar doesn't know the woes of inflation and CNG)
Bhaiya, Bandra West chaloge? (The Delhiite does not know 'Bhaiya' is an insult. Call them Boss, please)

Geographical location
Tell them you live in Gurgaon/Faridabad/Noida/Ghaziabad (Clearly, 'NCR' is not Delhi)
Tell them you're from Delhi. That's enough to get them all worked up

The amazing street food
Call it pani puri, not gol gappa
Call it gol gappa, not pani puri

Mode of travel
Why can't you take the Metro? (The Delhi wannabes will balk at this suggestion)
Just take a cab! (Only a snob will waste time on the road)

Talking about the weather
I can't wait for the rains! (The Mumbaikar does not know the sprinkles last weekend marked the end of the monsoon)
I can't wait for winter! (The Delhiite doesn't know that 20 degrees is as 'cold' as Mumbai will get)
