A digital menu application for Apple iPad users has been introduced at the Intercontinental The Grand’s Koh by Ian Kittichai, making it India’s first interactive digital menu.

Users can browse through the food and beverages menu of the Thai food restaurant, view the prices and have a look at
the pictures for a better idea of what they want to order. Detailed information about the various kinds of dishes served, the restaurant and Chef Ian Kittichai is also available.

“Users are welcome to leave behind their feedback and comments about the food and restaurant as the application facilitates that too,” says Chef Kittichai. The application can be linked with Facebook and Twitter accounts making it more interactive.

“We saw a restaurant in Australia that had a digital menu, but only for the drinks section. Here, we made sure we included the food menu too. The pictures simplify Thai food for the patrons,” explains Chef Kittichai. He states that users are really excited about the new kind of menu and are already demanding more images of the cuisine offered.

“People want to have a look at the digital menu, explore the features and play around with it. The application took a long time to be designed and readied. I’m very happy with the outcome and response,” exclaims Kittichai. There are plans to include more features and expand the food menu.
