Congratulations to Bangladesh for making it to the final of the Asia Cup for the first time. Every Bangladeshi must be dreaming about his country becoming the 'kings of cricket' in Asia. If that happens, it will be the turning point for the game in the country. Cricketers, administrators,
supporters and all associated with the game will be motivated to take the next step forward.

Bangladesh have always been a force at home and this time around they played good cricket to get past the two biggies. I am sure the team would be on a high when they take on Pakistan in the final. In the opening game too, Bangladesh had come close to the Pakistan total.

Bangladesh have some talented cricketers and the likes of Shakib, Tamim, Mashrafe are gelling well. To top it all, they are not panicking.

Not getting overawed by the situation is the key to their success. I believe the Bangladesh Premier League has a big role to play in this. Sharing dressing rooms with big guns of world cricket has helped the young guys learn a lot of things. The writer is a former India captain.
