David Warner and Mitchell Starc made half centuries to hold together a fractured innings, leading Australia to 222 for nine in the fourth one-day cricket international against Sri Lanka in Sydney on Sunday. Nuwan Kulasekara and Lasith Malinga produced outstanding spells of outswing
bowling to undo the Australian top order Sunday, reducing the home side to 53-3 as it batted first after winning the toss.

Warner made 60 from 73 balls -- his half century from 57 deliveries -- to shore up the Australian top order before falling to a contentious lbw decision at 125-5.

Starc then blasted an unbeaten 52 from 37 balls to swell the Australian total as it battled to prevent Sri Lanka gaining a winning 3-1 series lead.
