Delhi, Bangalore and greater Mumbai have been named as the top three most affluent cities in India, based on lifestyle and consumption habits of people residing there, found a survey by The Nielsen. The Nielsen Upper Middle and Rich survey ranked Delhi at the top of the chart of 10 most
affluent cities, followed by Bangalore at second place and Greater Mumbai at third. It defined ‘affluence’ according to lifestyle and consumer durables’ ownership of a household and not income and education.
