After the rains, comes the deluge of festivals in Mumbai. This weekend, you can visit a cultural fest that combines dance, music and the arts in one place. Indikaleido, a three-day event that concludes today, is being held at the Horniman Circle Garden and is seeing performances by well-known
artistes along with educative workshops.

The event throws open its doors at 10.30 am and entry is free of cost. You can attend an acrylic painting workshop by Ram Indranil Kamath which focusses on plexiglass and kids get to conceptualise, compose and paint their masterpieces.

Another workshop by Neeta Premchand will teach kids to make sheets of paper from rags and will also educate them about the history of paper through storytelling.

A third workshop about theatre by Shivani Vakil will have kids experimenting with theatre activities and learning about the art form through engaging games and exercises.

The song and dance event (see box), which is open to everyone, begins at 6 pm, and will have internationally acclaimed santoor player Rahul Sharma, ghazal singer Indira Naik and Algerian Sufi group El Ferda performing today.
