Aamir Khan is heaving a sigh of relief and there are two reasons for that. While the new promo of Talaash has got fantastic response, there is a burden off his back - that of giving clarifications that the film is not similar to Kahaani.
Aamir Khan is back with Reema Kagti's Talaash. With its plot kept tightly under wraps, the crime-thriller is generating a lot of curiosity. Aamir Khan is sharing screenspace with two beauties- Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji.
Talaash was earlier supposed to release in the month of June, Vidya Balan's Kahaani had already released and some mischief mongers had started spreading rumours that the two films were similar. This isn't all as parallels were drawn between each of the three principal characters from the two films," informs a source.
At that time it was also said that as a cop, Aamir Khan was playing the same part as that of Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Kahaani. Aamir was deeply disturbed by the rumours and when the film was postponed to November owing to Satyameva Jayate arriving first, there was added fuel to the fire.
"The new promo has totally quashed any similarities whatsoever and Aamir is mighty thrilled about that. It is now clear that the film is about some mysterious accidents that take place at one common spot and Aamir is investigating that case. In this quest of his Kareena Kapoor's character helps and ironically Nawazzuddin too has a part to play of a small time crook. Now where is Kahaani in this except for the fact that Talaash is an altogether new kahaani?" questions a senior unit member.
Even though Aamir is currently shooting for Dhoom 3 in Chicago, he is constantly clued in to the response that Talaash promo has garnered in the last few days. No wonder, he is thrilled that the film has passed through the stage where he or anyone else attached to the film has to answer any questions pertaining to these unfounded similarities.
