An industry insider reveals that along with Bollywood A-listers who have been invited for the premiere, Farhan’s name is also on the list. “On Wednesday evening Farhan confirmed that he would be attending the event, along with other friends from the industry,” says the source.
The reason Farhan and Abhishek fell out was apparently because the actor’s production company stalled the sequel of Rock On!!. Also, Farhan’s father Javed Akhtar was roped in to write the lyrics for Kai Po Che, but he too apparently backed out suddenly.
Kai Po Che premiered internationally at the ongoing Berlin Film Festival on Wednesday. When contacted Abhishek remained unavailable for a comment. Shikha Kapur, executive director, marketing, Studios, Disney UTV confirmed the event, before adding, “Yes, we have a big premiere on Monday night and have invited members of the film fraternity to join us.” Looks like the film’s premiere will reunite the two old friends.
