After launching the first look of Dabangg 2 on Bigg Boss, host Salman Khan will now also get Kareena Kapoor to unveil her item song, Fevicol, on the reality show.

A source reveals, “Salman loved the response the Dabangg 2 promo got on the show. Since they were planning to release the song this week anyway, he felt that the show would be the right platform.”

Kareena will apparently perform to the number and show off the signatures steps on the sets. Bigg Boss, which seems to have become the place to be for film promotions, was also supposed to feature Akshay Kumar, who was marketing Khiladi 786. Unfortunately, the actor fell ill recently and therefore couldn’t make it.

Kareena's Fevicol song challenges Katrina's Chameli

Call in coincidental but the race for being the Numero Uno superstar heroine in Bollywood is seeing a fitting culmination for itself with an item number no less. It all started with Katrina Kaif's 'Chikni Chameli' jig for Agneepath which was officially the first item number of the year. Now as 2012 comes to a close, it is Kareena Kapoor's 'Fevicol' from Dabangg 2 which would be tagged as Bollywood's concluding item number of the year.

"Incidentally neither Katrina nor Kareena are the leading ladies in the respective films. Katrina did it since you don't say no when Karan Johar offers you a song in a Hrithik Roshan starrer. On the other hand, Kareena is very friendly with Salman Khan and it was a given that when he would call, she would be present", says a source. READ ON

Malaika Arora to make appearance in Dabangg 2 item song
She danced in Munni Badnaam Hui alongside Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg (2010). And Malaika Arora-Khan’s item number went on to become a chartbuster. Now, she is back in the sequel with the song, Pandeyji Seeti Mare. Even though Malaika and her actor-director hubby Arbaaz Khan are tightlipped about it, we have learned that her presence in the film was never in doubt.

“Malaika has wrapped up her portion of the song. Arbaaz and Salman (actor Salman Khan) had always wanted to retain her in the film since Munni Badnaam Hui had become such a huge hit. They think she is their good luck charm, but she won’t be there in the entire song. However, it will surely remind audiences of Munni’s madness, colour and energy,” says an insider close to the unit. The song is being wrapped up at Mehboob Studio in Bandra. Besides Salman and Malaika, Sonakshi Sinha, who plays Chulbul’s wife in the film, is part of the number. FULL STORY
