Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn’s friendship is one of the few that has stood the test of time in Bollywood. And so Sanju decided to pay Ajay a surprise visit when he realised the latter was shooting for Himmatwala at the same location as him.

Apparently, Ajay was shooting for the song Taki o

taki on that particular day and Sanjay wanted to see the actor dance.

Director Sajid Khan tells us, “Sanjay was shooting for Policegiri at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad at the same time as us. He asked what our schedule was and I told him that we were shooting a song. He immediately asked me, ‘Is Raju (as Ajay is fondly called) dancing?’ When I said yes, he said he would pack up early and come see him.”

Sanjay was pleasantly surprised by Ajay’s dancing skills. “In fact, he told me that in spite of working with Ajay in many films, he had never seen him dance like this,” says Sajid.

The director adds that he wanted to make Ajay look like a complete hero in the song. “His steps are macho and he looksfantastic.”

When contacted, Sanjay gave us his side of the story. “Ajay and I are like brothers. I had to stop by, as I really wanted to watch him dance,” says the actor.

The film that releases on March 29 has been jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani.
