Ajay Devgn
Tollywood director SS Rajamouli, whose Telugu superhit Maryada Ramanna (2010) is being remade in Hindi as Son Of Sardar (SOS), is stunned to see some of the stunts that Ajay Devgn has performed in the movie. A source reveals that since Devgn is shooting in Hyderabad for director Sajid Khan’s
Himmatwala, Rajamouli made it a point to visit him. “He was amazed to see Devgn’s stunt where he is standing on two horses, which was an improvisation in the Hindi version and wasn’t in the original,” says the source.

Impressed by Devgn’s work, the director decided to show him his Telugu film film, Eega, which has been dubbed in Hindi as Makkhi. Ajay’s publicist confirms the news, saying, “Rajamouli has organised a private screening of the film for Ajay at Hyderabad. Ajay loved the proposal and will be watching the film today (Wednesday).” The actor will be accompanied by his friends and the cast of Himmatwala. “I am a great admirer of his work. I have seen almost all his films and am eagerly looking forward to watching Makkhi,” says Devgn. The dubbed version, which will release on October 12, is a live action-animation film with the bizarre-sounding story of the revenge of a super fly.

Rajamouli apparently knew Ajay’s father very well. “As Ajay’s father Viru Devgn was a noted action director, Rajamouli shared a great rapport with him,” says the source.
