With actor Akshay Kumar in the picture, Asin didn’t get to do any action scene in her last release, Khiladi 786, but the actor says she’s up for some daredevilry onscreen.
“I just have a car sequence in the film, as my character doesn’t really demand stunts. But I would love to do them. I love adventure sports. In Bol Bachchan, Rohit (Shetty) was busy blowing up buses and reserved the action for guys..I got my adrenaline rush by paragliding. I took off from where we were shooting. ..so yeah, I love action, but I don’t want to do stunts just for the sake of it. It looks very silly and forced,” she says.
What the actor really enjoyed about doing the film was learning Marathi. “I play a Maharashtrian girl in the film for the first time. I like learning new languages and new cultures..so this gave me an opportunity to learn Marathi,” she says. Currently on a break from work, the actor says that the past few months have been hectic. “There were three films, their release and promotions. We started shooting in June and finished in October. We have released the film in December. The last schedule was quite crazy,” she says.
Asin, who has previously worked with Akshay in Housefull 2 is all praises for him. “I have a lovely relationship with all my co-stars. If you see my career graph and the pairing, people I have worked with have always worked with me again, which stands for the fact that they have enjoyed working with me. I have done two films with Salman, two with Ajay, and this is my second film with Akshay. We have a wonderfully positive and mutually encouraging relationship,” she says.
As to what kind of person Akshay is behind the scenes, Asin says, “He is a prankster. During promotions, we are more chilled out, so that’s when his prankster side comes out.”
