Fared well in mass-dominated belt (single screens) on Friday, but the negative word of mouth hit the business hard as BO numbers came sliding down on Saturday. Sunday, however, was slightly better than Saturday, but lower than Friday, which says it all. Meanwhile, the business at plexes remained dull all through the weekend, says Taran Adarsh.

In view of the fact that UTV has given the film a wide release, the weekend numbers are shockingly low. Collected approx Rs 31.1 cr nett in its opening weekend. Breakup: Fri 12.1 cr, Sat 8.5 cr, Sun 10.5 cr.

Himmatwala is not an exact copy: Tamannah
Southern actor Tamannaah says her Bollywood debut Himmatwala may be described as a remake, but it is not an exact copy of the 1983 film of the same name because director Sajid Khan has altered the original script.

“The film might come with the tag of a remake, but when you see the film, you will notice that Sajid has completely rewritten the script. Except for a few things that have been taken from the original, the way characters are dealt with is completely different,” says the 23-year-old.  READ STORY
