Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan seem to have taken marketing to a new level by promoting their film in an akhara. Here's a look at the Bol Bachchan stars with a desi tadka!
Critics might have panned it, but Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan is doing a decent business at the BO. The film has collected approx Rs. 43.10 crore in its opening weekend. The movie has also become the biggest opener for Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn.

"Has emerged Ajay Devgn-Rohit Shetty's
biggest opener ever. Though the film started on a decent note on Friday morning, the business increased rapidly during the course of the day. The business showed an upward trend at multiplexes on Saturday and reached the optimum level on Sunday. In fact, the growth in business on Sunday ranged from 35% to 50% over Friday numbers in various circuits. This, despite strong opposition in the form of Punjabi film JATT & JULIET in North India and Telugu film EEGA in South India. Collected approx 43.10 cr in its opening weekend. Breakup:- Fri 12.10 cr, Sat 14 cr, Sun 17 cr," writes trade expert Taran Adarsh for Bollywood Hungama.

"#BolBachchan? has witnessed BIG jump on Sunday. Instance: In a circuit like CI, it collected - Fri 52.50 lacs, Sat 50 lacs, Sun 77.75 lacs," Adarsh tweeted.

The film is doing well despite negative reviews.

A still from Bol Bachchan

"Though this is still much better than what ‘Golmaal 3‘ and ‘Singham‘ had accumulated in the opening weekend, hence giving Rohit Shetty, Ajay Devgan as well as Abhishek Bachchan their best opening ever, the difference lies in the appreciation factor. Both aforementioned films had feedback ranging from good to excellent. On the other hand for ‘Bol Bachchan‘, it has ranged from ‘theek thaak‘ to average to good," writes Joginder Tuteja, Koimoi.com.

With his famous bike stunt in Phool Aur Kaante (1991), Ajay Devgn literally arrived in Bollywood with a bang. The film was not only a hit, it also got Devgn Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut.
