Despite bad reviews of No Problem, director Anees Bazmee is on the verge of completing his next film, which is a romantic comedy. Thank You stars Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan.
Thank You is about marriage, cheating men and their multiple
relationships. Shetty, who plays a nerd in the film, informs, “The film talks about how men think. A lot of eyebrows are going to be raised and a lot of questions are going to be asked. Many are going to identify with the characters. But women are going to hate them and look at their men differently after this.”
Shetty’s character in the film is scared of his wife, and yet has a roving eye. When asked if he’s tempted in real life by all the beautiful women around him, he says, “I am surrounded by very beautiful women and probably one is tempted, but when I look back home, think of my mother, daughter and my lovely wife Mana, I don’t think it’s worth it. One needs to draw the line. There’s too much to lose for so little.”
Shetty adds that he has had his share of romances, dates and partying when he was a bachelor. “I was a bad boy. I had my fights and brawls. I was never so calm until I realised fans follow your example. Then I started to behave. I have had a clean image in spite of being in the industry for more than 20 years. You will never hear of a controversy surrounding me,” Shetty adds.
Talking about his wife Mana, Shetty says, “We are good friends and are there for each other. Even if I go out without Mana, which is one in a million times, I feel lost and incomplete.”
