SOS revolves around two warring Sardar families and is the remake of Telugu film Maryada Ramanna.
The film is directed by Ashwani Dhir.
Salman Khan has also apparently agreed to do an item number in the film for Ajay Devgn and that too for free.
SOS is slated for November 13, 2012 release.
"SOS is a comic love story with lots of action, a perfect festival film," says Ajay Devgn.
The makers of SOS also released a digital poster of the film.
After making a special appearance (which is touted to be more an item song) in Son Of Sardaar (SOS), Salman Khan has now also decided to launch the trailer of Dabangg 2 with the Ajay Devgn-Sanjay Dutt starrer.
Apparently the actor, who starred in Yash Raj Films’ Ek Tha Tiger last, was expected to release the trailer of this much-awaited sequel with YRF’s upcoming film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ). News of his growing closeness to the production house had fuelled this rumour. But his decision to launch it with SOS — even though both the films (SOS and JTHJ) are expected to release on the Diwali weekend, November 13 — has proved those speculations wrong.
“Salman’s relationship with YRF is great, but he felt releasing the trailer with SOS was a better idea. One of the reasons, we believe, is also Shah Rukh Khan, who stars in JTHJ. Everyone knows that the two aren’t on good terms anymore,” says a source from the film’s unit, adding, “Besides, Salman and Sanjay are really close. That’s one of the main reasons why he chose SOS. His cameo adds to the excitement.”
We tried contacting the representatives at Viacom 18 and Salman’s brother Arbaaz, but they were unavailable for comment.
