Diwali has always been a special festival for Deepika Padukone. Ever since her childhood days, the actor has loved the revelry and joyous mood that the festival brings with it. Even today, she always looks forward to spending time with her family during Diwali. However, with so many projects lined up, Deepika doesn’t always get the time to do so.

But this time around, things are going to be different for the actor as she has managed to take a short leave during the festival. A source close to the actor reveals, “Deepika carries with her fond memories of spending Diwali in Bengaluru, lighting diyas in the house along with her mom and sister. She plans to take a break from all her shoots and promotions and take a couple of days off to be with her family.”

The source tells us that since it may be difficult for her to secure a long leave, Deepika might just end up taking a day or two off. When we asked the actor about this, she neither confirmed nor denied the news, saying, “Diwali makes me miss home the most. It is one of my favourite festivals.”

It has been a promising year for Deepika with back-to -back hits like Race 2, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and the recent Chennai Express. She will seen next in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram-Leela.
