Rafiq Gangjee of Yash Raj Films (YRF), which has produced the film had said, “Certain films in the past have shown the country (Pakistan) in a bad light, but unfortunately, we have to pay the price. It’s possibly as a result of this that the theatrical trailer of Ek Tha Tiger has been restrained from being aired in Pakistan.”

“If you see the body of work that YRF and Salman Khan have done, you will appreciate that we would never go down this route,”  he added.

Ganjee further added:  “We will follow the law of the land and seek an official censor certificate by showing the film to the authorities at the right time. We are confident that there will be no issues after that.”

The film, which releases on August 15, is the story of a Trinity College scientist who is suspected of selling missile technology secrets to Pakistan. Salman, who plays Tiger, a secret agent from India, goes to Dublin to track the professor’s activities. There he falls in love with the professor’s secretary, played by Katrina Kaif.
