Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif's Ek Tha Tiger directed by Kabir Khan has been making headlines ever since its announcement. And now that it's finally released on Independence Day, it's no suprise that fans are going berserk over it.
Salman Khan’s latest stunts in Ek Tha Tiger may have captured the interest of Indian audiences with its teasers, but fans across the border may have to wait. The trailer of Kabir Khan’s much-awaited romantic thriller has been banned in Pakistan.

Confirming the news, Rafiq Gangjee of Yash Raj
Films (YRF), which has produced the film, says, “Certain films in the past have shown the country (Pakistan) in a bad light, but unfortunately, we have to pay the price. It’s possibly as a result of this that the theatrical trailer of Ek Tha Tiger has been restrained from being aired in Pakistan.”

With Salman’s huge fan following in the country, Gangjee, is confident that things will shape up soon. “If you see the body of work that YRF and Salman Khan have done, you will appreciate that we would never go down this route.”

So are they pushing for a big screen release in Pakistan? Ganjee says, “We will follow the law of the land and seek an official censor certificate by showing the film to the authorities at the right time. We are confident that there will be no issues after that.”
