The first poster of Emraan Haashmi, Konkona Sen Sharma and Huma Qureshi starrer Ek Thi Daayan is out.
While Konkona Sen Sharma and Kalki Koechlin have scary expressions on their faces, Huma Qureshi looks rather scared in the poster. Is that, in any way an indication as to who plays the Daayan in the movie and who doesn't?
A joint production of Ekta Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap, Ek Thi Daayan is based a romantic thriller slated for release on April 18.

Maha Kumbh trip wasn't for promotions: Emraan Hashmi
Last weekend, Ek Thi Daayan actors Emraan Hashmi and Huma Qureshi visited the Maha Kumbh mela with the film’s producer, Ekta Kapoor. Now they’re back with some great memories and lots of pictures.
Ask Emraan Hashmi about his experience and he speaks of sticking to vegetarian food and enjoying staying in a tent. “I had heard so much about the Maha Kumbh mela, but I’d never been there, so it was a great experience. I’ve been lucky to visit it in Allahabad, where it happens only once in 12 years. The aura and the vibe there was so energetic. We stayed in tents for two nights, which was great fun,” says the Bollywood actor. EMRAAN SPEAKS
Kalki Koechlin lip-syncs for the first time
Actor Kalki Koechlin will be seen lip-syncing a song for the first time in her upcoming film, Ek Thi Daayan. Interestingly, all the films the actor has starred in have only had tracks that have been played in the background.
“I am looking forward to watching the rushes. I spent a long time working on the track because I also play the guitar in it. I learnt the chords and then lip-synced for the vocals,” says Kalki. “It was great fun, especially because I was doing it in front of the master of lip-syncing — Emraan Hashmi. This is also why I had to practise extra hard.” Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film also stars Huma Qureshi and Konkona Sen Sharma. and is expected to release on April 18. READ ON

Discarding the said press conference routine, the makers of the film put up unique acts at Filmcity. While we told you earlier how actor Emraan Hashmi, who plays the role of a magician in the film, performed an illusion trick on his co-star Kalki Koechlin, on stage, the meet also featured ‘daayan’ dolls hanging from tree tops and girls dressed as witches standing at the entrance handing out ‘misfortune cookies’ to the guests.
