Even before The Dirty Picture releases, Vidya Balan already seems prepared for a ‘different’ outing in Sujoy Ghosh’s Kahaani.

The film will see the actor play the character of a pregnant woman in search of her missing husband. Reportedly, the film is partially inspired by the Hollywood blockbuster Kill Bill, which was directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Produced by Ghosh, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Pen India Private Limited, Kahaani has been extensively shot in Kolkata, which incidentally is Vidya’s favourite city.

VidyaIn the past, the actor has spoken of how she could perform the role in Kahaani with utmost ease, as she would always joke with her friends about how differently women walk when they are pregnant. She also tried to copy the way they take deep breaths in between.

Trade also feels that once the euphoria around The Dirty Picture settles down, Kahaani would put Vidya in a completely different mould.

It may be interesting to watch Vidya in a completely different and unglamorous avatar after the Milan Luthria film releases.

The film starring Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi would hit theatres on January 20, 2012.
