Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’s first poster was a tribute to Hum Aapke Hain Kaun (1994). And continuing the trend, the next two posters too pay homage to Bollywood’s love stories. The latest one, which released on Monday, is inspired by Farah Khan’s close friend and director Karan Johar’s

venture, Kuch Kuch Hota Hain (KKHH, 1998).
“I was skeptical about doing this. But we just want everybody to know that there have been these iconic stories and then there’s going to be us,” says Farah.
Didn’t she find it amusing to dress up as characters she once choreographed in KKHH? “I was a lot more at ease in a track suit. I kept telling Boman that even though he was dressed like Shah Rukh (Khan) from KKHH, he was acting like SRK from My Name Is Khan (2010). We were really like two mental
So was it Farah’s idea to invite Karan to the unveiling of the poster? She says, “Sanjay (Leela Bhansali, producer) invited Madhuri Dixit for the first look, so I told him that I’ll get Karan for this. When I spoke to him, he was thrilled. I’m sure he must’ve had a mini heart attack after seeing it.”
The film, which is co-produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions and Eros International, has been directed by Bela Bhansali Sehgal. The filmmakers will release the film’s third poster which will also be a parody, before they finally unveil the real look.
Meanwhile, Farah is also working on Karan’s directorial venture, Student Of The Year (SOTY).
She says, “So far, I have choreographed two and a half songs for him. I keep going to the sets as and when required. But it’s great that Karan and I still share the same relationship that we did 15 years ago.
We still fight and joke. We have almost become the entertainment for all the actors and assistants working on the film.”
Talking about the new actors in SOTY, Farah adds, “They’re all great. In fact, I keep telling Alia (Bhatt) that next year, she and I will be competing in same awards category for best debut. I’m going to spoil her song so that I bag the award!
