Afer several hiccups, the journey of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine has finally taken off. Excited and nervous Kareena Kapoor shared her excitement on Day 1 of the shoot.

know, I'm part of this movie now. I'm obviously nervous and super-excited. This would be a milestone in my career and I aim to make it my career best performance, with Madhur Bhandarkar's help and your love and support."
First look: Kareena Kapoor starts shooting for Heroine
Now that the jinx seems to be over, Madhur Bhandarkar is also excited about the movie. "She (Kareena) is a great star. We have always talked about working together and even discussed a lot of films but nothing materialized. But Heroine is a great script and a great story. I am sure it will be a landmark cinema in Kareena's career," Bhandarkar told IANS at the red carpet of Airtel Super Star Awards.
"Heroine is basically a journey in a heroine's life in the contemporary world. It's going to portray how an actress reaches the top and how her life goes through ups and downs. There are lot of catharsis and traumas shown in the film," Bhandarkar adds.
Arjun Rampal would play lead in the film opposite Kareena Kapoor.
