Actor Prachi Desai is on a high point of her career, as she is finally playing the roles that she has always wanted to. “I’m happy I’m finally getting the roles which are more like me and of my age. I’m fortunate that I have a choice to pick what I like. I’m so glad to be a part of my last release, I, Me Aur Main, where I got to play my own age and people got to see a different side of me,” she says.

Next on the 24-year-old’s filmy list are movies like Policegiri and the third installment of 1920. Talking about the former, she says, “I’m playing a software engineer in the film. It’s a serious film, but my character is like a live wire who spreads energy and colour. I love certain sequences that I have been given in the film, especially a chase-action sequence. Girls get fewer opportunities to do things like these.” She is in total awe of actor Sanjay Dutt, her co-star in the film directed by KS Ravikumar. “Sanjay is a phenomenon in his own. Every time he walks in on the set, everything goes quiet. That’s because people just inherently respect him so much. Working with him is an aspiring and learning experience for me,” she says.
Horror is something she hasn’t tried her hands on yet, but is ready to take up the challenge with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s 1920 franchise. “This is the first time I’m doing a horror film. I get to play a princess in the film. It’s going to be based in London. I have always wanted to be a part of a costume-drama. It looks so wonderful,” she says.
