In English Vinglish, Sridevi enrolls for an English speaking course in order to please her husband and family.

Even though it’s been a while since Sridevi’s English Vinglish (2012) released, the actor is still getting congratulatory calls for her performance in the film. And her latest caller is Hrithik Roshan.

Since the actor was busy with the post-production of his upcoming film, Krrish 3, and with

the pre-production of Bang Bang (the remake of Knight And Day), Hrithik only got time to watch English Vinglish a few days ago. “He was impressed with Sridevi’s performance. The next morning, the first thing he did was call and congratulate her,” says an insider.

Hrithik and Sridevi apparently had a long chat about acting and the industry among other things. “It wasn’t just another courtesy call. They really bonded and discussed at length how Sridevi mastered the role,” adds the insider. “Sridevi, of course, was overwhelmed by the gesture.”

Hrithik couldn’t be reached for a comment, and Sridevi too remained unavailable since she is currently unwell. However, her producer-husband Boney Kapoor confirmed the news.
