His only stint in Bollywood so far has been the Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. directed 2011 hit, Shor in the City. American actor of Indian origin Sendhil Ramamurthy is now keeping his fingers crossed to repeat his Bollywood experience. Ask him if thinks Bollywood has forgotten him after Shor..., the 38-year-old tells us over the phone from Los Angeles, “I don’t know if they have forgotten me. I’m not sure if they knew me to begin with. But I hope not because I’d like to come back and do something.”

He adds, “I was pleasantly surprised with the reception of Shor. I had a great time doing it. It'd be nice to come back to India and do something like that again. I really had a great time doing that. I was not sure people would respond to it because it wasn't your typical Bollywood film. It was such a good experience. I want to repeat it but for the right script.”

The actor has also been in touch with the directors of the film. “I have been talking with Raj and DK. I’m hoping to collaborate with them on another project soon, which will be really nice. Now they have a film (Go Goa Gone) with Saif Ali Khan coming up. I saw the trailer and it looks really great,” says the actor, who is known for his roles in shows such as Heroes and Covert Affairs.

Ramamurthy reveals he did get scripts from Bollywood post Shor but nothing materialised.

“Scripts came my way but nothing that I was really keen on. Then I was working here, as I took another show. So my availability became a problem. There was also a problem with an India-based film that I was supposed to do, but that didn’t happen. I’d have loved to do that,” he says.

The actor is currently drawing praises for his role as Gabriel Lowe, an assistant district attorney on the show Beauty & the Beast that airs on BIG CBS LOVE here. Throwing light on his character, he says, "He comes with his own agenda. You don't know where he is going and what he is doing at first. He is very gung ho about his job which is to prosecute bad guys."

He adds, "He is very much at the moment a grey character. You don't really know where he is coming from. You don't know whether he is good or bad and that's the fun playing him."

As far as future projects are concerned, "right now I'm locked into Beauty & the Beast. Then it's kind of a waiting game until we find out in mid May if there will be a second season or not. We are hopeful while other future projects depend upon what happens with this one."
