From doing mere 50-seconds long roles to becoming one of the most talked about actors in Bollywood today, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has come a long way.
And the talented actor says he’s clear that he wants to do only ‘clean’ movies. “I am very particular in my choice of movies and I am not going to do a movie which has a cliched love angle... also not the ones with actors in revealing clothes or using bad language. Main aisi picturein nahi karna chahta jis mein ladkiyan apni thighs dikhati hain (I don’t want to work in films in which girls flaunt their thighs). At the end of the day, I should be able to watch my films with my sister and wife,” says the actor, who was in the Capital on Friday to receive the National Award for his performance in Kahaani.
The 38-year-old actor also says that he’s looking for metier roles now. “I would now do movies in which I play the lead and there is a leading lady. I have done enough small roles,” he says, giggling.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui received Special Jury Award for his performance in four films across the year - Talaash, Kahaani, Gangs of Wasseypur and Dekh Indian Circus.
