Happy with the success of her recent release Aashiqui 2, actor Shraddha Kapoor says she does not believe in competition and is her own competitor. While there are a lot of newcomers in the film industry, Shraddha is not insecure about her position. “I like to compete with myself and let my work do the talking,” says Shraddha.
It is the first time that Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen together onscreen.
As for how she deals with success, post the release of Aashiqui 2, she says, “I keep this thought of success at the back of my mind. I don’t let success go to head and failure to heart,” The acting bug didn’t just bite Shraddha, but her brother Siddhanth as well. He recently made his acting debut with Shootout at Wadala. “We converse a lot about films, as that is generally the atmosphere at home,” she says.
Shraddha would be seen next with actors Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein. “I am happy and feel lucky to do a film with Karan Johar’s production house. It was great working with Imran. Unfortunately, I don’t have many scenes with Kareena. I wish I could work with her,” she says.
Ask her if she was snobbish as a child, Shraddha, who’s the daughter of actor Shakti Kapoor, answers in the affirmative. “I was extremely proud of being my father’s daughter. But I have also always been grounded, thanks to my parents,” she says.
