Item songs might be a rage today in Bollywood, but actor Ayesha Takia Azmi, who has already bid goodbye to Bollywood, will not even return to the big screen even if that’s to perform to a peppy number.

“I’ll never ever do item numbers and neither have I ever done one. It’s good for whosoever
is doing those numbers but that’s not the image that I have wanted to portray. I have always wanted to do films that could be watched by families,” Azmi told us.

Films in anycase have taken a backseat for her. “Yes. I’m not concentrating on any scripts right now. I’m not feeling inclined towards films. I’m just doing what is making me happy,” she said.

Asked if marriage acts as a deterrent in the career of female actors in Bollywood, Azmi said, “I don’t think so. The audience has matured now. I got married at the age of 23 so I don’t think I will not be offered work because I am married now.” But does she ever miss celebrityhood and showbiz?

“You know what, no. I couldn’t care less honestly,” said the actor.
