Her Bhaag Milkha Bhaag co-star Farhan Akhtar is already bagging kudos for his portrayal of the former Indian athlete, Milkha Singh, in the upcoming biopic’s trailers. But actor Sonam Kapoor has no qualms.
"It’s completely Farhan’s film. I’m like a piece of jewellery in it — an accessory
that has been put on to make the film look beautiful. Farhan has worked so hard for this that I don’t even want to receive any accolades for this film,” said the actor, who plays the athlete’s wife, Nirmal Kaur, in the flick that will hit screens in July.
Sonam also has three other projects in her kitty — Raanjhnaa, Yash Raj Film’s untitled next, and a remake of Khoobsurat. “This is going to be a good year for me. I decided that I’m going to take my time and choose the right thing for me now. I wasn’t choosing the right scripts that I would get creatively satisfied with (earlier),” said the 27-year-old, who was in the Capital on Tuesday as the brand ambassador for the Gem & Jewellery Council.
Meanwhile, asked about her Valentine’s Day plans, Sonam said, “I would buy a piece of jewellery for myself. I don’t want anybody to buy it for me. I’m absolutely single. You can’t love anybody but yourself the most, especially when you are a professional, and I’m just very happy about myself.”
