Ranbir offers the cake to Barfee co-star Ileana D'Cruz.

Actor Illeana D’Cruz, who plays the parallel lead in director Anurag Basu’s Barfi!, now wants to diversify her career and fulfil her long-stalled dream to turn singer. A close associate of the actor reveals, “She had a small band in Goa and used to jam regularly before she got into acting.”

In fact, the actor will start her vocal training in July in preparation for her first album. “She is considered a good singer among her friends and has offers to record a pop and soft-rock album with Hindi and English songs,” says the source.

Ileana is currently shooting with Ranbir Kapoor in Ooty for Barfi!. When contacted, Illeana confirms this development: “I always wanted to become a singer, but I was not able to pursue it till now.” The actor will be seen in Khiladi 786 next.
