We have heard of actors training in their gyms to work on their looks for their roles in films, but actor Imran Khan is taking a new sort of training for perfecting his roles in his upcoming films. In Once Upon A Time Again, Milan Luthria’s sequel to Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Imran is playing
the role of a tapori or a Mumbaiya goon for the first time and is taking language lessons to learn the authentic Mumbaiya language. Not only this, Imran has also learnt Haryanvi for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola.
Interestingly, Imran has also never played the role of a Haryanvi before. “Imran has hired a language teacher to teach him dialect of different languages. He is extremely quick at picking up languages and wants to be fluent in the language, so he has a full time tutor,” says the film’s spokesperson. This will be the first time ever that Imran will be seen in both these distinct roles. And Imran is going out of his way to do justice to both the roles.
He has till date been seen more as an urban youngster with films like Delhi Belly, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, I Hate Love Storys, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and this will be the first time ever Imran will be seen in a rustic avatar.
