Although Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara will not be releasing on Eid, the makers will be riding the festive wave by organising promotional activities in the run-up to the festival. The production house — Balaji Motion Pictures — had planned to release one of the songs from the film during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
However, Imran requested the makers to prepone the launch of the qawwali number, Tayyab ali — a cover of the popular song from Amar Akbar Anthony (1977). The launch will now be held today at Mohammed Ali Road.
A source informs, “Imran requested them to reschedule the launch to before Ramadan because during the holy month, most followers restrict their daily routine to only fasting and praying and refrain from indulging in enjoyable activities. Imran explained to the makers that it will be wise to host the event earlier."
Says Imran, “It’s an extremely special song for me and I wanted everyone to enjoy it. Launching it during Ramadan would mean that a certain section of the audience wouldn’t be able to enjoy it, so I requested the makers to organise it earlier.”
The source adds, “The location was decided keeping in mind the theme of the song.” Apparently, the Mohalla Community of the area will look after the security. As a backup plan, a few restaurants have also been roped in to host the launch just in case the street event doesn’t work out smoothly.
