John Abraham trains in two different fight forms for his films

For two of his upcoming films, the actor is training in two different fight forms — Vietnamese martial arts for Race 2 and extensive Jujutsu
for Jaffna. Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art and a method of close combat for defeating an armed and armored opponent while Vietnamese martial arts use elements of tai chi and a bamboo pole as a weapon.

“John trained for two films in completely different set-ups. For Race 2, two Vietnamese martial arts experts came down to India for two months because in the film, he has a lot of air kicks which are difficult to pull off for any untrained person. Plus, John has done it without cables, so he underwent two months of rigorous training,” says an insider.
In the film, he will be seen doing 540 air kicks and a major cage fight as well.
For Jaffna, he has trained in Jujutsu and is going to lose 8-9 kg for his part in the political thriller. “He needs to be extremely flexible in the film because his role demands it. I can’t divulge any details about it though,” adds the insider.
Since John is not in India, he remained unavailable for a comment.
