While it has been known that Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan have buried the hatchet to come together for their third film, latest reports reveal that actor John Abraham will be joining the cast too.

Actor John Abraham, 39, has been cast as the co-lead alongside actor Shah Rukh Khan, 46, in
Farah Khan’s upcoming movie, Happy New Year. The filming starts in August this year.
SRK and John have earlier come together for a soft drink commercial.

“Farah has promised John a major part in her film. The two share a Parsi connection, and Farah is known to be very fond of him,” says a source.

Following the SRK-Shirish slapgate, most thought it would be difficult for Farah and Shah Rukh to reconcile. However, according to Mid Day, the two seem to have patched up rather well.

"It was as though nothing had ever happened. Farah and SRK bonded effortlessly. Shah Rukh asked Farah when she'd like to start Happy New Year (HNY) for his company Red Chillies Entertainment. Farah said, 'Whenever you want.' It was as casual that," a source recently told the tabloid.

Farah had apparently been planning to film HNY immediately after Om Shanti Om and even Amitabh Bachchan had a plum role in the movie while the female lead was likely to be played by Katrina Kaif or Kareena Kapoor.

Well, the rest of the cast remains uncertain, let's hope it does turn out to be a Happy New Year for all of them.
