Akshay with Kajal: Neeraj Pandey has cast Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal in Special Chabbis. It's an official remake of the 1983 blockbuster of the same name. Akshay's good luck charm may help Kajal's Bollywood career to take off.
A source reveals, “Kajal has requested the makers of her next, especially her co-star Akshay Kumar, to come along with her to promote Special 26 in Hyderabad. She is very popular there and believes that promoting her film in Hyderabad will help the project.” Apparently, Khiladi Kumar happily obliged. The source adds, “Promotions in Hyderabad were not on the agenda. But when Kajal requested Akshay, he couldn’t refuse. So he decided to accompany her.”
The Rowdy Rathore (2012) star even made adjustments in his already packed schedule to
accommodate this last-minute change. “He requested the makers of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, for which he’s shooting currently, to give him half a day off to make a quick promotional trip.”
Ask director Neeraj Pandey about this and he says, “Yes, all of us going to Hyderabad. Kajal is very popular there and we want to promote the film among her fans in the city.”
