Critically acclaimed Kalki Koechlin debuted in Anurag Kashyap's Dev D and has starred in films like Shaitan and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. She was recently seen as a hot illegal immigrant in That Girl In Yellow Boots.
Kalki Koechlin insists that marrying director and long-time collaborator Anurag Kashyap has changed nothing about their relationship. “We are very happy. We are both busy, but we understand each other’s work pressure. There is nothing new that’s cropped up because we were living together for
years,” the My Friend Pinto star insists. She adds, “Nothing has changed. And that’s the reason I would marry someone, because he won’t want me to change. He would love me for who I am. That’s why I married Anurag and that’s what we love about each other.”

The director’s wife, who has already managed a strong foothold in the industry with films like Shaitan, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and My Friend Pinto, reveals that her husband is now working on nine scripts from different genres simultaneously. “They are going to be very intense films,” she says. The two started dating on the sets of her debut film, Dev D (2009), and worked together so often that it’s drawn criticism from various quarters of the industry.

Perhaps as a consequence, it was recently reported that Anurag didn’t want to work with Kalki again, as he felt that working in intense films together affected their relationship. But the actor defends him, saying, ‘I think he was misquoted. I had actually told him that I did not want to work with him again in the same genre because now we have done two films, Dev D and That Girl in Yellow Boots, which are both intense and dark.” She goes on to add, “The next time I work with him, I want to do something light-hearted.”

Among the fresher crop of actresses, Kalki Koechlin stands out for her 'foreigner looks' and unusual choice of roles, which have enabled the actress to carve a niche for herself in Bollywood.
