Producer Ekta Kapoor wanted her Global Indian Film and Television Honours to be as classy as the awards in Hollywood. She didn’t want the recurring theme of cheap digs and controversies in her function; so she roped in her good friend producer-director Karan Johar to host a segment for the award
Karan Johar sported a black suit with white shirt.
Manuj Agarwal, CEO, Balaji Telefilms explains, “We didn’t want to crack jokes at the expense of the celebrities who grace our event. So instead of a round of Koffee with Karan, he came up with the cool idea of Naughty With Karan. We wanted to entertain the audiences there and those watching the show on TV later, but without any cheap digs.”
Karan interacted with film and TV celebrities on stage, and posed mischievous questions to Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Parineeti Chopra, Aishwarya Rajnikanth, Prakash Raj, Vidyut Jamwal, Ram Kapoor, Sakshi Tanwar and Shabbir Ahuluwalia. Here’s a little of what to expect on the show that airs this weekend on Colors.
Karan: Say two words about the five actors nominated for Best Actor award.
Saif: Ajay Devgn – good marriage counsellor.
Emraan Hashmi – too good.
Hrithik Roshan – too good, sexy.
Ranbir Kapoor – chick magnet.
Salman Khan – big brother.
Shah Rukh Khan – loaded with money.
Karan: Who is the best kisser, Emraan Hashmi, Naseer saab or Arshad Warsi?
Vidya: Naseer saab because he is so experienced.
Karan: What’s the size of Ram’s waist?
Sakshi: You know it is large but phir bhi kamar toot gayi (he still broke his back) because he had to lift me in the scene (referring to the intimate scene they shot for their show Bade Achche Laggte Hain).
Karan: Whom do you think
Sakshi should kiss among other TV celebs.
Ram: No one, she should
be exclusive for Bade
Achche Laggte Hain
(referring to the kiss she
did on screen with him for the show).
