Preity Zinta returns with Ishkq in Paris which is a fresh and young romantic film.
She has worked with him as an actor on films like Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006). And now, as Preity Zinta herself turns producer with Ishkq In Paris (IIP), her filmmaker pal Karan Johar is going all out to give her a friendly helping hand. The news is that Karan
has been in touch with Preity and has been helping her iron out any issues she faces on her maiden production venture. Dharma Productions’s CEO Apoorva Mehta has also stood by Preity right from the start.

“Since IIP is Preity’s first film as a producer, she sought Karan’s advice on various aspects of production. And he has gone all out to do whatever he could,” says an insider.

Be it marketing, post-production or commercial aspects like theatrical and satellite rights, Karan has been a constant source of help and motivation. When contacted, Karan confirms the news, saying, “Yes, Preity has been in touch. Everyone at Dharma (Productions) is very fond of her. In fact, she is one of my favourite female stars. So, Apoorva and I are always available for any assistance.”

An insider adds, “Managing a film’s production, including marketing, promotions and other jobs isn’t easy. And who could be a better person in Bollywood than Karan to advise on production? Preity is grateful to him, since any advice is always handy for a new producer.”

Meanwhile, Preity is all praise for KJo. “I’d like to thank Karan for having a heart of gold and helping me find a solution (to all my problems),” says the actor-turned-producer.

Koffee date!
He has already established himself as a successful TV show host with three seasons of Koffee With Karan. And now, Karan Johar is set for the fourth season of the popular chat show. “It’s confirmed. We will go on air in June (2013). It’s too early to discuss any details at this point,” says Karan, who is busy with the post-production of his next directorial venture, Student Of The Year.
