Fondly known as Bebo, the actress writes about her journey from a chubby teenager who accompanied actress and elder sister Karisma on shoots into one of the hottest leading ladies in tinsel town, according to publishers Penguin Books India.
Kareena, who will turn 31 later this month and who had previously written a forward to her personal dietician Rujuta Diwakar's book, talks about her fitness routine including how she came to acquire her much talked about "Size Zero" figure in the new book.
The actress, who is busy promoting her soon to be released film Heroine where she is seen sporting uber glamorous gowns and who own her own clothing line also gives tips to replicate her iconic looks from Pooh's sexy red choli and pants in Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Geet's T-shirt-salwar in Jab We Met.
The book by Kareena is the first to be launched under the Shobha De imprint of Penguin that includes celebrity memoirs, guides and biographies — with a focus on lifestyle, business, cinema and commercial fiction.
The initiative involves noted author Shobhaa De handpicking authors, titles and subjects. Following Kareena many other celebrities from the fashion, film and lifestyle world have been lined up for books under the imprint, according to a source in the publishing house.

Women-centric films have caught the right attention in recent times, thanks to unique content and strong roles. But for Heroine, Kareena Kapoor has gone a step ahead and managed to bring as many as eight brands on board - said to be the most for any female-oriented Hindi movie so far.
According to industry sources, an estimate of at least Rs.20 crore of brand-spends will be blocked for promotions of Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine, releasing on September 21.

Actor Kareena Kapoor’s peppy number Halkat Jawani from Heroine is grabbing eyeballs. It has crossed over one million hits on YouTube. The video has received a stupendous response.From Ganesh Acharya’s choreography to Kareena’s svelte looks, viewers have praised the song for all its aspects.Heroine will release Sep 21. Though the song is being called as an item number, the makers say that it is a situational song.

Actress Kareena Kapoor feels she was destined to do director Madhur Bhandarkar's Heroine and says the film is very close to her heart.
Bhandarkar first offered the lead role to Kareena but she couldn't do it due to date issues and it went to Aishwarya Rai. However, Aishwarya subsequently opted out due to pregnancy.
And the film once again landed in Kareena's lap and she said: "Being a part of Heroine was my destiny. The first time I couldn't do it because I didn't have dates and second time I was happy that the film came back to me. I had no second thoughts about it and agreed to do it. STORY INSIDE
