While on and off rumours about Kareena making a comeback with Hrithik have been doing the rounds for a while, it looks like Karan Johar now is ready to put a full stop to the speculation.
Karan recently confirmed that Hrithik and Kareena are very much a part of the next Dharma Production venture, Shuddhi.
Kareena Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan haven't worked with each other for more than ten years now. The actors stayed away from each other after rumours of their linkup started making rounds in tinsel town. They were last seen in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon.
The filmmaker, who worked with the two in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, told Bombay Times, "I'm excited to see Hrithik and Kareena back after 12 years." KJo believes that Kareena and Hrithik are the right choice for the roles because he required actors who can bring the desired intensity among them.
The film is said to be an intense love story with a reincarnation theme weaved in a dramatic form and will be helmed by Karan Malhotra of Agneepath (2012) fame.
Though the shoot of the film is yet to begin, it is slated for release in October next year.
