If rumours are to be believed, Katrina Kaif will be the lead in Prakash Jha's next film Satyagrah, which is based on the issue of corruption. The name of the film is said to be tentative, reports Mid-Day.

This will be Katrina's second film with Prakash Jha after Raajneeti (2010).

Katrina will be seen in a de-glam avatar, similar to her persona in Raajneeti. The actor played Arjun Rampal's wife in the film, who later enters into politics. Satyagrah is based on the subject of corruption and is loosely inspired by the Anna Hazare episode, reports Mid-Day.

"Katrina and Kareena were being considered for the role but it is Kat who has bagged it finally. We are still trying to sort out the dates with her," the tabloid quotes a source as saying.

Mid Day reports also suggests that Akshay Kumar will be producing the film and will also be playing the lead opposite Katrina Kaif. Also that Madhuri Dixit is expected to be a part of the cast.
