Soon-to-release film Jolly LLB seems to have got itself into some trouble. Apparently, an advocate from Meerut, where the film is based, has sent the production house a legal notice claiming that the movie represents lawyers from his city in poor light.

A source close to the production
reveals, “Fox Star Studios (FSS) has been served with a legal notice by Dr Parag Garg, an advocate in Meerut. He claims that the promos of the film — that are currently on air — show lawyers in Meerut in bad light and are defamatory. He is demanding that FSS remove the trailers and stall the release of the film.”

The Arshad Warsi-starrer is slated to release on March 15. It is a fictional, satirical story about a lawyer from Meerut that jokes about the system. Vijay Singh, CEO, FSS says, “Yes, we have received the legal notice. Our team is looking at it, so no comments at this stage.” However, director Subhash Kapoor adds, “Every lawyer or anyone connected with law will be proud of the profession once they see the film. It has nothing that is even remotely disrespectful of the judiciary.
