Prakash Jha’s Chakravyuh has been in the news for various reasons. Now, the latest is that the film was premiered at the prestigious London Film Festival on Friday. Only Madhuri Dixit-starrer Mrityudand has received this honour previously, in 1997. Understandably, the cast and crew of the film
are ecstatic.

A source close to the film tells us, “The film received appreciation at the festival. It’s a good feeling. We’re hoping to get a similar reaction once the film releases here. The film is also a part of the Dubai Film Festival.” Pranab Kapadia, president, marketing and distribution, Eros International says, “This festival, though it is mainstream, has never really gone deep into Bollywood. So when we received a call for the premiere, we were ecstatic.”

Adding that media from all over the world, Kapadia says, “The weather conditions weren’t good, but fans still turned up. In fact, Arjun (Rampal) and Abhay (Deol) even got mobbed.”

There's something about Madhuri Dixit that keeps her going even today, after spending nearly three decades in Bollywood.
