Bollywood's latest heartthrob Ranveer Singh and girl-next-door Sonakshi Sinha have been in the news for their off-screen chemistry. But this time it's for official reasons. Check out the duo at the launch of their upcoming film Lootera.
The iconic Liberty Cinema, which has been around since 1947 in Mumbai, is set to host a film festival after almost two decades. Liberty Cinema hosted the unveiling of the first look of the Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer, Lootera on on Friday.

Lootera has been in news for its unusual pairing. The film is jointly produced by Phantom and Balaji Productions. The first look shows Ranveer Singh and Sonakshi Sinha sitting in a car.

Sonakshi-Ranveer-starrer Lootera's first look to release in Liberty cinema

The iconic Liberty Cinema, which has been around since 1947 in Mumbai, is set to host a film festival after almost two decades. The theatre, which hosted several film events in the past, will once again open its doors for the unveiling of the first look of the Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh starrer, Lootera. Lootera has been my toughest film: Sonakshi Sinha
Her next release is Ashwni Dhir’s Son of Sardaar (SOS), coming out on Diwali, and she is also shooting for Dabangg 2. But Sonakshi Sinha believes Lootera is her toughest project ever. The movie, which also features Ranveer Singh, is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane of Udaan fame.

“Lootera, in terms of look and character has been my toughest. I hope people like it. Working with Vikramaditya was like going back to school. He is a wonderful director in terms of getting out a performance. Going back to 1950s is not an easy thing to do,” she said. FULL COVERAGE 

Ekta Kapoor teams up with Nambiar
She has consistently been hitting the bullseye at the boxoffice with her out-of-the-box films such as Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010) and Ragini MMS (2011). In her latest move, producer Ekta Kapoor has decided to join hands with Shaitan (2011) maker Bejoy Nambiar to co-produce a film, which is funnily titled, Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi.

“It’s a very quirky and fun film on the lines of Khosla Ka Ghosla (2006) and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), but it has a soul of it’s own. We are sure fans will be surprised to see such a film from Ekta’s company. When she heard the script for the first time, she just couldn’t stop laughing and she instantly decided to go ahead with it,” says an insider close to the film’s development. READ ON
