Fashion designers Varun Bahl, Masaba Gupta and Suneet Varma put up a fashion show at the event. While actors Nargis Fakhri and Vivek Oberoi were the showstoppers for Bahl, Shazahn Padamsee, Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari and Zoa Morani walked the ramp in outfits inspired by the IIFA logo and the sun. Actors Shahid Kapoor in a tuxedo and Priyanka Chopra in a silver white gown, opened the event with a performance on their song Uff from Teri Meri Kahaani, which they are promoting at IIFA.

Zoya Akhtar’s film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara swept the technical awards with wins in five categories. The best editing award went to Anand Subaya and best sound mixing to Anuj Mathur and Baylon Fonseca, While Bosco-Ceaser got the award for best choreography, best screenplay went to Zoya and Reema Kagti, and best cinematography to Carlos Catalan.
