Besides roping in half a dozen leading ladies from regional film industries to dance on an an item number, Sajid Khan has also managed to bring together singers Sunidhi Chauhan and Mamta Sharma to team up for the track.
“They have sung a very energetic and colourful number that has been
choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. The song was shot at Ramoji Rao Studios in Hyderabad a week ago,” says an insider, adding that the video of the song will be visually grand.
That’s not all. The six dancing divas will also be seen mouthing lines in their respective vernacular languages.
“It will only make the song popular in the hinterlands. When Sajid came up with the idea, he discussed with Ajay, who was also equally excited about it,” says the insider. Apparently, earlier, Ajay was also very happy with Sajid’s idea to stream Himmatwala’s muhurat live on YouTube.
"Sajid has been constantly coming up with out-of-the-box ideas. Everyone has a lot of faith in his talent. When he discussed the idea of starring six girls in the song, the
makers were more than ready to go ahead with it because they knew he would do full justice to it,” says the insider.
When contacted, Sajid — busy with the shooting of the film — refused to talk about the item number. Himmatwala, which is being shot in Hyderabad currently, will hit the theatres in March next year. The film will also mark the debut of south actor Tamanna in Bollywood.
